vintage 1967 amethyst jim beam converted decanter with custom bent stem
this vintage amethyst purple whiskey decanter is part of the kentucky derby release by jim beam between the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. this piece is dated 1967, locally sourced in colorado, and converted to a fully functional smokeware. adorned with seemingly familiar leaf-like shapes, this conversion includes a 14 mm custom bent stem, bowl, and cork topper. vintage decanters are hand-selected, drilled, and fitted to stems by the artist.
